We are building M2QIS, a scientific investment research and technology firm focused on the development of proprietary quantamental strategies across metals and mining markets. M2QIS is being built around an integrated research process combining fundamental resource analysis, quantitative modeling, data science, artificial intelligence, and human judgment to identify and evaluate potential sources of alpha. Its research will examine how resource economics, corporate fundamentals, financing conditions, and market behavior influence investment outcomes, translating sector knowledge into testable hypotheses and investment models.
The research mandate spans listed mining equities, commodity futures and options, and commodity-related event contracts traded on prediction markets. Across these instruments, M2QIS will investigate relationships between economic developments, market expectations, and asset prices. Strategy development will integrate point-in-time data, empirical testing, out-of-sample validation, and portfolio construction. Models will be evaluated against relevant benchmarks and assessed for sensitivity to changing market conditions, with explicit consideration of risk, trading costs, liquidity, and capacity.
Within this framework, M2QIS will investigate whether hybrid quantum-classical methods can improve selected problems in feature learning, model selection, and portfolio optimization. Quantum methods will be advanced only where they demonstrate measurable statistical, economic, or computational value against strong classical benchmarks. This research process is designed to determine whether findings represent an economically meaningful investment advantage and warrant further development.
M2QIS will develop proprietary research, models, and investment processes across metals and mining markets. Strategies that satisfy defined scientific and implementation criteria may be commercialized through institutional licensing, strategic partnerships, or selective intellectual-property transactions, with the structure determined by each strategy’s characteristics, capacity, evidence, and implementation requirements. M2QIS intends to retain ownership and strategic flexibility over the future application of its proprietary intellectual property.
